Mentoring Sessions

After the general leadership and sectoral leadership trainings were completed, the leaders of the sector provided mentoring to the participants once in March, April, and May by arranging 15-minute for both one-to-one sessions (1- 1 sessions with a mentor) and collective speech. In this way, the participants had the opportunity to get to know the leaders of the sector closely and to ask their individual curiosity and to consult their mentors with their own thoughts.

Academy Sector

The frame of the meeting of academy sector mentor Prof. Dr. Sondan Durukan Feyiz and the participants. She stated that “To be successful, you assign your duties and responsibilities as a woman”. She continued with “50% of the associate professors were women, and this rate decreased to 20% in the professorship”. After answering the questions of the participants, they held 1- 1 interviews.

Retail and Textile Sector

Our Retail and Textile Sector mentor Nazlı Ümit Boyner shared her valuable experiences. “Women who have come to good places in business need to pave the way for other women and give them a chance to succeed ”, in her words, dear Nazlı Ümit Boyner underlines the importance of sisterhood and then ends the day after completing 1e1 meetings with participants.

Health sector

The health class receives the first collective mentoring training from mentors Elif Aral. Dear Aral says that he has a group of female friends whom he has been meeting with all the time and that the support and motivation he receives from, this group is very important and he emphasizes the importance of “sisterhood” and sharing of experience.

Communication Sector

Işıl Arıdağ, our communication sector mentor, states that self-confidence is very important not only in the communication sector but also in the whole business life and cannot be obtained with advice before the 1- 1 sessions after the collective interview is completed.

Entrepreneurship Sector

Our entrepreneurship class held 1- 1 sessions with their mentor Demet Ersipahi Candemir after a pleasant collective meeting. She emphasizes that women should be together, and conveys her experiences to our participants with the words “women in the entrepreneurship ecosystem should be more upholding each other”. 

NGO Sector

Zeynep Ürkün, our mentor in the NGO sector, had a very informative and enjoyable meeting and received help from our dear mentor’s experiences in their 1- 1 sessions for their thoughts and designs.

Architecture Sector

A frame from the last meeting of dear Melkan Gürsel Tabanlıoğlu and our participants. Melkan Gürsel Tabanlıoğlu, our mentor in the architectural sector, advised our participants that they should go after what they will be happy with, and she added: “just know what you want”.

Art Sector

Dear Beral Madra, our mentor in the art sector, defines “leadership” as follows: “There must be a stance to become a leader. It’s important where you stand in the community. Leadership is guiding and protecting people from evil. It can be said that there is a position to direct people who are distant from truth to truth.”

Business and Management Sector

It is a frame from in the collective interview with the business and management class mentor Pınar Eczacıbaşı. Our participants then held 1- 1 interviews. Dear Eczecıbaşı said, “being ethical and being moral is a very important feature. When you have this, the other doors will open up in front of you”.

Science and Technology Sector

Science and technology class mentor Assoc. Dr. Burcu Özsoy said, “it is important not to be afraid to try in business”. “The women need to support each other in doing this” with these words she emphasized “sisterhood”.
