Women in Leadership Positions: Breaking Barriers

A panel was held in Koç University Campus’s Founders Hall to introduce the project and to meet with the participants. The panel started with Dean of Koç University Faculty of Law, Chair of UNESCO Gender Equality and Sustainable Development Chair, KOÇ-KAM director, Professor Dr. Bertil Emrah Oder’s speech. After that, with the moderation of our project manager, Dr. Aslı E. Mert, our panelists; TAV Airports Holding Vice President and CFO Burcu Geris, EY Turkey Corporate Finance Partner EY EMEIA, Entrepreneur Women Leaders Program Leader Demet Özdemir, KAGİDER Vice President and Social Impact Strategy Group President Emine Perviz Erdem and Özyeğin University Rector Professor Dr. Esra Gencturk shared their definitions of leadership, the characteristics they think they should be in a good leader, their thoughts about the project and their hopes. At the end of the panel, the questions of the participants were answered.
